Site Characterization

Site characterization is often required where hazardous substance and petroleum product releases are suspected and additional certainty is needed regarding the environmental impacts caused by these releases. A well-designed site characterization assessment provides data to evaluate the nature and extent or types of contaminants present, the amount and location of contamination, and the physical state of the contaminants in the sub-surface. Cannon and Cannon, Inc.’s experienced team of scientists and Environmental Professionals have completed site characterizations driven by state and federal regulatory programs including RCRA, CERCLA, and LUST and also for property and business transfers where a comprehensive evaluation of environmental liabilities, remedial alternatives and costs to properly mitigate the environmental impacts was required. We understand the regulatory requirements and the potential impacts to our clients’ businesses – our experience matters to our clients.
