Tourist Corridor ITS Traffic Flow Improvements

The Sevier County Tourist Corridor is the entrance to the #1 most visited park in the United States – the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. CCI is partnering with the cities of Sevierville and Pigeon Forge to perform engineering design services to help solve the congestion issues and assist with creating a safe and efficient movement of traffic and pedestrians in the popular Sevierville Corridor. The project consists of signal timing and traffic signal upgrade design for 83 traffic signals. The design elements included new traffic signal controllers, upgraded detection, and pedestrian upgrades, where required.
