Holston Electric Cooperative Aerial Transmission Line Design

Holston Electric Cooperative (HEC) selected Cannon & Cannon to develop an aerial transmission line design for three (3) substation exit circuits from a new TVA In-Feed substation of which they were in the final stages of design.

CCI was tasked with maximizing system redundancy through strategically placed switches in an effort to improve reliability, while also navigating existing TVA conductors, TDOT State Route crossings, and tying into existing HEC transmission facilities.

The project was ultimately split into multiple phases to meet HEC’s immediate needs and also align with the installation schedule for the substation transformers. CCI has completed Phase 1.
